We thank Prof. Zangvil and
Mr. David Klepach for supplying the data.
The weather station site provides a weather data archive
in Excel files. The data are given every 10 minutes and include air temperature, soil temperature, pressure, relative humidity,
radiation intensity, rain, and wind speed.
There is also a rainfall archive, where
the data is in ASCII (html) format.
There is also a picture of the station,
and an on-line current weather report.
- Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture Weather Station
The fully automated station is located at the Rehovot campus, and is operated by
Prof. Yitzhak Mahrer
and Mr. Meir Margolin.
The data is read every 10 seconds and averaged hourly using winter Israeli local time (GMT+2 hours).
A list of instruments and photos is provided.
The weather data is in ASCII format, from 1990
to 2002. The data is given once per hour and includes temperature, humidity, radiation intensity, rain, and wind speed.
- The Tel-Aviv University
Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences weather station
The fully automated station is located on the roof of the Kaplun building, on the east
side of the Tel-Aviv University campus.
The station has been in operation since th 17th of January 2001.
The station is maintained by Mr. David Shtivelman of the
Cloud and Precipitation Physics Laboratory
We thank Mr. Shtivelman for supplying the data.
Description of the data (ASCII, 1KB)
2001 data every 30 minutes (ASCII)

2003 data every 30 minutes (ASCII)
The latest Tel-Aviv data is shown as an image of the station screen on the ISA-MEIDA
Forecast Center under "On-line Meteorological Data".
- Kibutz Maabarot Weather Station
This weather station has been in operation since 1940 at Kibutz Maabarot between Netania and
Hadera at latitude 32° 21' 58" N, longitude 34° 54' 14" E. The station elevation is 20 meters.
Mr. Uri Shalem is in charge of the station, and has generously
made the data for all years available
on the internet.
The station is also a member of the
Davis Vantage Pro Weather Station Ring.
This is a list of sites which post weather data gathered by a Davis Vantage Pro weather stations or have information
regarding the Davis Vantage Pro weather stations.
There are also general Weather Webrings,
which are dedicated to storm spotting, weather stations, and weather information sites.
- Boaz Nechemia's Jerusalem Weather Station
This private meteorological station has been in operation since 28 November 2001, and provides on-line
data (Internet Explorer only) and also historical record of
weather in Jerusalem (latitude 31° 48' 00" N, longitude 35° 12' 00" E, elevation 770 meters).
The station is also a member of the
Davis Vantage Pro Weather Station Ring.
As is the station for Kibutz Maabarot above.
We thank Mr. Nechemia for giving ISA-MEIDA permission to make
the full data from his station
available on-line .
Description of the Data (ASCII,1 KB)
Year 2001 data
Year 2002 data
The data is either every 15 minutes data for every month (approximately 340KB each file) for example
April 2002
data, or daily summary files containing daily means and extremes (approximately 4 KB for each
file),
for example
December 2001 .
- Ronen Slifkin's Jerusalem Weather Station
This private meteorological station has been in operation since 1995, and provides on-line
data.
The previous site with historical summaries no longer operates.

Private Weather stations in Israel Ring.
We thank Mr. Slifkin for giving ISA-MEIDA permission to make
the full data from his station
available on-line .
Description of the Data (ASCII,1 KB)
Year 2000 data

Year 2002 data
The data is daily data with every month in a separate file (approximately 1.7KB each file) for example
April 2000
data.
- Jordan Valley College weather station
The Jordan Valley College automatic station site has data since February 2000.
The data itself can be seen by English browsers, but the explanation file is in Hebrew.
The College also offers data about the
water level in the Kinneret
since 1969. This site, however, is exclusively in Hebrew.
- Ministry of Agriculture weather stations
The Ministry of Agriculture has a network of meteorological stations. The stations of this network
are shown on a map and a list of them is given.
Data from each station is available (in Hebrew), also from an archive, back to the year 2001.
The data includes daily minimum and maximum or average of radiation, air temperature, soil temperature, relative humidity,
precipitation and more.
The interface is in Hebrew only.
- MOP Zafon weather stations
The Northern R&D - Israel ("MOP Zafon" in Hebrew) organization has a network of
13 weather stations, whose data can be accessed on-line.
The data goes back to January 2000, and includes radiation, temperature, relative humidity, precipitation and more.
However the interface is in Hebrew only.
- Municipal Association for the
Environment - Ashdod District (Hebrew only)
The Ashdod Association for the Environment has an on-line system for reporting air pollution.
The system shows only the general range of the Air Quality Index for a station, that is if the
pollution is low, high, dangerous, etc.
- Municipal Association for the
Environment - Ashkelon District
The Ashkelon Association for the Environment has an on-line system for reporting air pollution. The locations on the map
appear in Hebrew only, though the values are in English.
The system shows only the general range of the Air Quality Index for a station, that is if the pollution is low, high, dangerous, etc.
- Municipal Association for the
Environment - Hadera District (Hebrew only)
The Hadera Association for the Environment has an on-line system for reporting air pollution.
There is a separate map for the location of the monitoring stations, and an on-line form for requesting data.
The system gives numerical reports, but is very slow.
- Municipal Association
for the Environment - Haifa District
Haifa District Municipal Association for the Environment (HDMAE) has built and is operating an
advanced Air Quality Monitoring Network consisting of
13 monitoring stations connected to the
Association Control Center.
In addition, HDMAE is collecting air quality data through the equipment of its mobile station.
The data itself is no longer available for downloading except as an
air quality index table .
There is also a on-line system for current data .
- Data Collected by Dr. Milu Rosenberg
