NASA Watch is an online publication devoted to the exchange of information on space policy and NASA operations.
Keith Cowing, the editor and webmaster of NASA Watch, claims
that "this website is read regularly within NASA, Congress, and the global space community".
This is not a NASA site, and as such claims to be "free and uncensored".
- Space Ref
SpaceRef.com is hosted by Discovery.com, and is billed as
the "ultimate online resource for students, professionals and space buffs everywhere".
This includes daily news, status reports, a calendar of events, a directory of space related resources
which includes a dedicated space search engine, and over 10,000 NASA images and descriptions covering all American
manned missions.
- SatNews Online Magazine
Specializing in communication satellites, and also has lists of satellites launched, for example for
year 2001 launches, and similarly for
other years.
- NASA SpaceLink
NASA's space resource for education, including among other resources a quick look-up system for
information about
NASA projects.
- The Satellite Encyclopedia
An impressive compendium of all satellites launched, and data about them. The full version is for sale,
a limited version may be downloaded for free.
- Small Satellite Homepage
A site dedicated to small satellites, less than 500 Kg in mass, listing existing and planned satellites.
- Space Craft Digest
An encyclopedic database of over 1,500 past, present, and planned satellites.
Each record contains detailed information on the specific satellite.
Use requires registration, which is quite tedious, but free.
